    Yes... People really don't understand that the reason a horse "listens" to a harsher bit is because it causes more pain

    Yes! My horse has scars from a Spanish noseband, and when I test rode her she was in a 2 piece short shank leverage of some sort (I've never seen one like it before and I have studied into bits 😅) She would toss her head with the slightest bit of pressure, so I just neck reined her for the rest of the ride. I felt so bad.. The day I got her I took that bit off her bridle, and I bought her a French link loose ring snaffle and she loves it way better! But I mostly ride her bitless because she's the most comfortable with that!🤍

    I currently have three horses that I have stopped riding and am learning how to teach them with R+ and it’s taking longer because I am learning and want to be clear for my horses so they have less frustration and are able to express themselves. Due to my inexperience it’s taking longer but my horses are happier and want to be with me. Liberty walks are my favorite thing to do with them.

    I couldn't imagine not being around my horses (if I actually had any) everyday, if possible, just to pet them and groom them, even if for a few minutes. I don't understand how someone in particular can let the horses be for several days, leaving them in that same square paddock (probably letting the water bucket go dry for way too long), and barely ever even interacting with them, and when that person does, it's just to lunge, ride or put them in the trailer. Nothing pleasant for the horses. They're barely in that person's life. They just have eachother, with poor hooves (one has terrible hooves, too wide and long, and they haven't been taken into the stable in a long time, so there's not been a farrier in long), no protection against the insects, and a small paddock full of dung, plastic from previous haybales, two scattered empty buckets sometimes, and a bunch of twigs. They can't properly gallop around and buck and frolic because of the paddock being under the many pine trees 99% of it and the ground being uneven. It's summer and they haven't gotten a bigger area. Their owner has been reported before, I've heard stuff, it's just so sad to see. I wish those horses got the love they deserve. We did report the owner back when it was winter, when it was even worse. The horses seemed to go a whole day or two without getting hay.

    I didn’t realize how much shorter the mustangs are than the other horses. They were all standing in that group and you could really see the difference. What happened to the 2 unhandled horses you were working with?

    The music track at around 13:00 sounds familiar, is it from WolfQuest or is it just in the same genre, acoustic guitar strums and stuff, played in a similar tone? That aside, Lilo seems so much more comfortable now! She was the pony that was very shy at first, yes? I'm also glad to see Harlow back. She's a lovely girl.

    • @iclynnx
      @iclynnx 3 дні тому

      Well I mean, sometimes stallions seem to sniff under another's back legs 😂 Not sure if stallions find out information about other stallions by sniffing down under. I only know they sniff poop for that reason.

    love how much personality horses have when they're allowed to actually have them. crazy how they barely feel like animals when you see them in most horse sports, so forced to 'behave' that they can't just be horses. love seeing them living the way they are meant to :)

    From as far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted was a horse. I got to have one for about one year of my teenage life and then had to give it away because my parents wanted to move back into the city! It was the hardest thing to do to let her go and I always think of her and hope and pray she was loved and taken care of. It wasn't till I turned 40 that I got my next horse. My husband would ask me what I wanted for my birthday, Christmas, ect! I always told him nothing because what I wanted most I didn't think I'd ever have. When I finally got the first one and was asked this question, I told him nothing again, because what i wanted most, I finally got! I got big into rescue after a while and at one time had as many as 22 horses at a time. Im 63 now and don't have near as many, but if I was younger I'd still be rescuing these beautiful animals! The passion I had for them back then is just as strong today! I just dont have the physical stamina to care for so many. Thank you for sharing this! I truly have been blessed by God to be able to have these beautiful animals a part of my life. Ive lost so many over the years, but I wouldn't change a thing! I still have two of my original horses!One of them is 30 and the other is 32! It will be hard to lose them when the time comes, but they had a great life, were loved and taken well care of! I just rescued another one and hope to be picking her up in a couple weeks. Cant wait to meet my next adventure!I feel honored to have them all a part of my life! You brought back memories of my childhood dreams and brought tears to my eyes!❤

    The horse name is Banksy??? I am an artist and new horse riding student. I am flummoxed. He is clearly adding the darker values and then highlights before the details. How is this not viral??? He is a better abstract painter than I am. Please give background story.

    Oh it took forever to get my dad’s horse to stop cribbing. Our fences were hot wire. That helped in the field. We used a cribbing collar in the stall. It took sometime and we just found he stopped doing it. Our horses were on our property. They were very spoiled. We had a filly we got from someone who did the pacing thing in paddock. She loved land. We sold her to a friend down the street. She was a happy camper. She turned out to be a great cow horse. I agree stalls are for bad weather. Let horses be horses.
